mmm, where did the last few months go?

TITLE Object orientation and images
DESCRIPTION In this part of the book show how you can develop a class based Processing program that manipulates images. This would be valuable revision on OO concepts.
OUTCOME
Be able to develop an OO-based program of no more than 120 lines which manipulates images.
REFERENCE Greenberg 468--479
HINT It would do no harm to make the program the same level of complexity as that in the Greenberg extract
PROGRAM A similar program to that found in the text,

What really worries me is coming up with something interesting, graphically speaking.

I had a vague sort of idea about developing something to morph between pictures of my sons but then I found this and gave up that idea!

Ah well, better get reading...

Chunk 81 it is. I think/hope this will be a good mix of OO stuff (in comfort zone) and image related stuff (outside the outer perimeter of comfort zone, turn left and continue straight on).

Well, the book has arrived.  I got it through Amazon.com in the end, meaning it came from Phoenix, Arizona. I am currently trying hard not to think about what it has done to my carbon footprint.

It's a big book so I guess I won't be reading all of it tonight!

The Beginning

I've downloaded the IDE and looked at all the examples, which are amazing just in terms of how much functionality is hidden behind the API. It's all starting to make me a bit nervous! I couldn't resist the lure of learning something new and writing about it - the nerves are just of the unknown and I am eager to get going. I'm one of the mainland Europeans mentioned by Darrel so I'll probably try to order online - Waterstones do deliver here...
